Robb Reece is a Santa Fe, NM based photographic artist. A professional commercial photographer and former graphic designer for many years and a former professional runner and cyclist, Robb has always embraced challenge.

He creates and produces photographic fine art and chronophotography in a uniquely layered way where realism is abstracted, and depth and relief are emphasized. He often combines multiple shots together, and these composites are an interpretive blend of depth, forms, angles, textures, and lighting into one image. His digital paintings are abstractions referencing and honoring the living, breathing earth in all her complexity and beauty. Light, form, color, and movement fuse into a mysterious, alchemical conjunction, where multiple forces and visions become one - everything is rich source material. There’s a metaphorical similarity between the layered geologic processes of time and the way I layer and manipulate my images. His creative work involves spontaneity, pre-planning, cooperation from mother nature and some luck. There’s an aspect of “not knowing” and openness that creates the opportunity of light and shadow to reveal themselves.
